 As a teaching hospital of Peking University, the hospital is committed to the education and training of both undergraduates and postgraduates of the university in the field of clinical medicine. It also serves as a base for professional continuing education in Beijing. Having participated in the national "Eleven Five-year plan" project, the National Natural Science Fund, the foundation of national defense research projects, the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, the development of scientific research in medicine, and more than 20 provincial-leveled research projects, the hospital has attained outstanding scientific achievements.
