Brief Introduction of Aerospace Center Hospital/ Hospital overview
Aerospace Center Hospital (ASCH) was established in 1958. With a history spanning over half a century, ASCH is the flagship hospital of China Aerospace ScienceandIndustry Corporation which is a well-known large-scale high-tech enterprises in China.
The hospital is a not-for-profit institution and has a good reputation in the health system of Beijing. Being the Emergency Medical Rescuing Center of the Westside Beijing, the hospital has always committed to improving people's health and quality of life. For a long tradition of providing accessible, excellent and convenienthealthcare, the hospital was granted the honorary title of National Model Hospital with Patients Trust by Chinese Hospital Association in 2009. The hospital also serves as a teaching hospital attached to Peking University, named Peking University Aerospace College of clinical medicine, for medical undergraduates and graduate students.
The hospital has 1500 employees and 700 beds open. It caters to over 15,000 inpatients and 600,000 outpatients every year. There are 120 chief physicians and deputy chief physicians. Among them, five specialists were awarded the special state allowance and three specialists are the academic leaders of provincial and ministerial level scientific research projects. There are 37 medical departments and one community health care center composed of the hospital medical service system. The hospital provides health education, disease control and prevention, health care, rehabilitation, and general common and frequently-occurring disease diagnosis and treatment services.
The hospital has always been dedicating to providing multidisciplinary medical care and team-based quality patient care. Interventional therapy, minimally invasive surgery and stem cell transplantation are the advantages and characteristics of hospital technology. Cardiology, neurology, neurosurgery, endocrinology and hepatobiliary surgery are backbone subjects of the hospital.
As teaching hospital, students from Peking University Health Science Center spend a substantial part of their curriculum in ASCH. Our medical staff is committed to innovative translational and clinical research. They have been participated in many national level medical research projects, such as the national "the Tenth Five-year Science Plan" key projects and the projects supported by National Natural Science Fund.
The hospital has a large number of advanced inspection equipment,likefirst-class ultra-clean laminar flow operating rooms, magnetic resonance imaging device, spiral CT machine, color B-type ultrasonic machine, digital subtraction angiography device, CR imaging devices, digital gastrointestinal contrast DR machines, electronic endoscope, high-end automatic anesthesia and surgical equipment, extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy machines, automatic biochemical analyzer etc. Information system has been increasingly improved. The broadcast live tele-education system provides platform for long-distance diagnosis and meets the demands of modern education teaching methods.
